Ken Foree

Ken Foree Peter Washington, Dawn of the Dead

Born in Indiana, Ken Foree has been scaring us on the big screen for years! Ken’s introduction to acting took him on an unusual path. He decided to get some formal training at renowned Michael Shulman's Performing Gallery in New York. Shortly after that he landed roles in the film The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings opposite Richard Pryor and James Earl Jones and a guest starring role on TV's "Kojak". To make proverbial ends meet, he took a position as an assistant manager for a restaurant in Greenwich Village, New York while he was also trying to perfect his craft by doing off Broadway theatre at La Mama. One day, an actor friend told him about an audition that he might be right for on a new indie horror picture that was generating a lot of under-ground buzz. He called, went in and landed the role of Peter Washington in George A. Romero's 1978 classic, Dawn of the Dead, which proved to be a cult classic and in 2003 it marked its 25th anniversary and remains as popular as ever. In the 2004 Universal Pictures remake, Ken reprised his role of Peter Washington (The Televangelist) and the film continued its streak of winning success.

While he is most widely known for his work in the last two installments of Dawn, he has quite a few other horror films to his credit which include, The Dentist, Sleepstalker, Joshua Tree, Hangfire, Night of the Warrior, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3, Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects and Halloween, just to name a few.

Mr. Foree serves as Creative Consultant to Horror Realm.

Kevin Van Hentenryck

Kevin Van Hentenryck

Kevin Van Hentenryck achieved instant cult status as the engagingly guileless and nerdy Duane Bradley in Frank Henenlotter's marvelously gory and sleazy low-budget horror splatter gem "Basket Case." The Oak Park, Michigan native initially began acting in 10 grade. Van Hentenryk had an uncle who was a performer in radio, television and movies and an aunt who had acted in a soap opera for many years. Van Hentenryck first met Henenlotter while attending the American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York City. He eventually wound up playing his first substantial lead role in Henenlotter's "Basket Case." The slender, curly-haired and boyishly affable Van Hentenryck brought a winning blend of sweet wide-eyed innocence and charming awkwardness to the part of Duane. He had an amusing cameo as Duane in Henenlotter's terrific "Brain Damage." In addition, Van Hentenryck reprised the role of Duane in the two hugely enjoyable "Basket Case" sequels. He more recently gave a hilarious performance as a deranged psycho in the uproarious horror comic short "The Catskill Chainsaw Redemption." Outside of acting, Kevin Van Hentenryck has had a successful career as a self-taught sculptor.

Lamberson is also debuting his new Medallion Press zombie novel, DESPERATE SOULS, at Horror Realm. Publishers Weekly wrote, "The zombie battles are cheesily over-the-top, the character development is strong, and the pace is relentless. Dark fantasy fans will be impressed by this action-packed, gory, and witty read."

And FANGORIA just reviewed Lamberson's new werewolf novel, THE FRENZY WAY: "Gregory Lamberson is the sort of force that dark fantasy and horror are lucky to have. Filled with violence and winking paperback-potboiler thrills, The Frenzy way is a ton of briskly paced, loopy (as in garou) fun."

Zombie Zak

Zombie Zak

Zombie Zak, a (mostly) humble creature of the night, the dead and things best left with the Bright. Though the godless hordes of the undead may be bustling and bursting about, he'll be standing up tall, leading the shout.

Canadian born, in a town named Toronto; aged well, and now publishing pronto, his very first book, one hopes with enough hook. Poetic, chaotic, cast about in measure and rhyme; many parts of humor and emotion and time.

Zombie Zak, the Shambler of the Night, the engineer of the bubblicious blight. With a deadpan desire for total and complete global domination sincere, is attempting to compile something bouncy and maybe not all here. His legions cover the planet from pole to pole, nothing mediocre you see, nothing quite so droll.

Cookies and brains and bacon and zombies, oh my! Forsooth and gadzooks, you're all going to buy. By word or rhythm or something unseen, I leave you with these words pretty, but unclean. Wrap up your bubbles, your unkempt asides; for tonight, we read, imagination we ride! Upon waves of rhythm and rhyme, the mood, the bright, the simple and sublime.

Step into my parlor, sayeth the spider to the fly ...

PS: ('cause ZZ likes PS's) He can be bribed with cookies; of this, there is no doubt. PPS: Go buy Chaptered and Versed, Poetic and Cursed as soon as it comes out ...

It Comes....!
